My mother, Leticia Gonzalez Rodriguez, was interviewed about her family history. Her family originated from Autlan, Jalisco and Ciudad Madera, Chihuahua in Mexico. Her father moved to the US for better job opportunities, first living in El Paso, Texas. In 1963, her family settled in Inglewood, California where she was later born. Her family has lived in several cities in California. Her father worked as an upholsterer and apartment manager while her mother was a homemaker. The family held traditional Mexican customs and passed down recipes through the generations.
