My maiden name is Cindy Hayes.
After graduating from the UofA in 1985, I worked for 4 years as a plant safety engineer for a semi-conductor manufacturing facility in Palm Bay, Florida. In June of 1989, I moved to Tampa, Florida where I went to work for ERM, an environmental engineering and consulting firm.
In 1990, I met my husband Michael J. Norton while he was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. We were married in August 1990. Immediately (9 days) after our wedding he shipped out to Saudi Arabia to serve on Gen. Schwartzkoff's headquarter's staff doing tactical weather during Desert Shield/Storm.
In 1994, I became a mother to a beautiful baby boy names Zac
