I started with McDonnell Douglas in 1979 as a mechanical engineer. After becoming manager in 1987, I held a myriad of engineering management positions until 2002 (by which time we were part of Boeing). I took a full-time position working on lean initiatives and projects in 2002 and I haven't looked back since then. Lean has provided me with some of my best work experiences since I started my career. I also ride bicycles a lot.
