I accept friend requests from people I don't know only if they seem to be someone that I would like to know. I do this because I will, on occasion, ask people to join for the same reason. I will also only give these folks a trial period of sorts. If I happen to come across the profile in the future and we have not met and/or there is nothing of great value then I will remove you.
