At the beginning of my fine art training, I viewed digital image making and traditional image making as two very separate worlds. The paradigm shift began when a professor encouraged me to take a printmaking course during my first year. The shift was cemented when I opened my first business with some partners, a graphics and t-shirt printing company TeeSquat LLC. Up until that point, I was still focused on the more traditional aspects of the art world. Once we opened our doors, however, I was hooked on digital, and I discovered how crucial my traditional training was for my success as a graphic designer.
