There is a consensus among researchers, clinicians, politicians and the public that genomics will transform biomedical research, healthcare and lifestyle choices. My ultimate goal is to contribute to this transformation by making human genome data more findable and accessible. Researchers find it increasingly difficult to discover datasets from experiments in their area of interest. The explosive generation of datasets in ever more distributed repositories and the lack of universally accepted metadata standards make it difficult for scientists to know what data is "out there" for their research.
