10. Work Experience Not necessarily relevant Although if you can get some then that is a Good Thing Evidence that you know how to work in a working environment Anything to show that you haven't been sitting around doing nothing Internships Relevant if possible, but otherwise something interesting
11. Professional Development Professional bodies Actually do something other than just join Attend talks Help out Find someone to mentor you BCS working on building a mentorship program IET run one Other professional bodies Acquaintances Internships
12. Jerry's Final Thought Work out what you want to do Make sure you know how to do it Make sure you know how to show other people that you know how to do it Make sure you know how to tell other people that you know how to do it Don't use Comic Sans on your CV
