My consulting experience started with the Quality Assurance models like ISO9001 and presently TS 16949 (then QS9000) when I worked in CII (Confederation of Indian Industry, a Premier industry association) and I got the opportunity to get the training in JUSE which exposed me to Deming and his philosophy. The entry of EFQM model in India gave me the experience to work with Business Excellence models. I have almost had unbroken 10 years of work on Tata Business Excellence model which is the Tata Version of the Malcolm Baldrige award model.
