I'm a science writer and author of the Takeshita Demons series of spooky adventures (inspired by Japanese demons or 'yokai'). Takeshita Demons won the 2009 Frances Lincoln Diverse Voices Children鈥檚 Book Award and was part of the UK BookTrust's Booked Up promotion for 2010. Yay! I have also worked as editor of CSIRO鈥檚 Scientriffic magazine, as a performer with the Shell Questacon Science Circus, and as an editor at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland (home of the LHC atom-smasher)(which has so far failed to swallow the earth in an enormous black hole).
