Why be bored when you can be...awesome?
My guitar was originally a Fender factory special run (FSR). It's a Mexican manufactured Standard Stratocaster which I've modified heavily. Here's the basic points of interest:
* HSS pickup layout. The pups were custom wound for me by BG Pups. The neck and middle are single coils based on the BG Vintage 60 and wound hot to 6.5K. The bridge is a Hellabucker humbucker wound to about 17K and set up so that each coil is about equivalent to a Vintage 60. All of the pickups use AlNiCo 5 magnets as their pole pieces, and the humbucker uses a pair of magnet coils instead of the usual magnet coil + screw coil setup.
