Born in Portland, Jamaica, grew up in St. Catherine. Attended high school in St. Catherine and Kingston, then on to Mico Teachers College and then first degree at University of West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. Received a Fulbright Scholarship to US. Obtained both Masters and Doctoral degress in US. Assistant professor at University of Wisconsin, Superior. Back in Jamaica as and educator at the the two principal universities. Divorced once, married twice, one son born in the US, now attending Ardenne High.
