While students and schools ultimately benefit, the primary beneficiary of a teacher's professional development is themselves, as it better equips them for their work. Teachers are encouraged to utilize online resources like Google and social media to interact with other educators, take online courses, attend seminars, and further their education to continuously enhance their skills.

Even though ultimately, your students and your school will benefit from your personal and professional development, YOU (as an Educator) are the primary beneficiary of every PD effort. Your institution may make it compulsory but it better places you for effectiveness in your work.
