David S. Weed, Psy.D. coordinates Healthy City Fall River (www.HealthyCityFallRiver.org), an initiative of the Mayor's Office in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's (DPH) Community Health Network Area organization, Partners for a Healthier Community, Inc.. Begun in 2003, the project is supported by DPH linkage funds and involves over 200 projects designed to improve the health and quality of life of those who live and work in the city. Dr. Weed recently retired after 32 years as a clinical psychologist for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health where he worked on a number of health promotion projects for adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses
