Analysis of processes to develop physical based models and simulations to aid the design and control of equipment. My current project's goal is to create a simulation that characterizes the chemical vapor deposition of copper oxides. It involves developing a species transport phenomena simulation of the gas phase of the reactor as well as a molecular simulation of the growth of the thin film being deposited. Eventually this two simulations will be coupled to provide a more complete description of the CVD process and used to design novel nano-structured film manufacturing processes.
