Since April 2006, David Conrad has served as Principal at Manteno Middle School. For eight previous years, Conrad taught music in the Manteno (Illinois) schools. His responsibilities included the district show choir program, elementary band, and middle school band and chorus. Under his leadership, Manteno Magic and Grand Paws won numerous championships and caption awards in show choir, including a three-year unbeaten streak in divisional competition. He regularly recruited over 70% of eligible students into the 5th grade beginning band program and retained over 90%.
