I help people understand math. Sometimes, they have a little already and feel good about that, and I help them understand more deeply or further along. And that makes them feel more powerful mathematically, which makes them feel more confident than they did before. Sometimes, though, folks are worried about understanding math. I especially like to help these people. Because when people “get” math, they don’t just learn to compute. They learn to apply creativity and reason to new situations.
