Health and Wellness Education Center of Sumter County (HWEC) was established in November 2001 as a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation to meet the health, social, and educational needs of individuals in Sumter County. Since its inception, Health and Wellness Education Center, has linked thousands of individuals to medical and social services including preventive health education, health screenings and other health related resources and services.
