Deirdre specialises in careers, employment and labour market policy, research and practice at a national, European and International level. In July 2011, she was appointed Commissioner at the UK Commission for Employment & Skills (a Ministerial appointment). She is passionate about improving the life chances of individuals through access to high quality information, advice and guidance. She is currently involved in bringing together careers professional associations across the UK to speak with one voice to Governments.
