Ms. Kelly founded Spectrum Infant and Toddler Montessories in July 2009 to address the gross shortage of capacity in child care centers to service the needs of infants and toddlers, limiting child care options for working families.
Her advocacy for quality child care stemmed from the physical abuse of her eldest child in a licensed family child care home. The provider was sentenced to four years鈥� probation, paid several thousands in fines, served 1,200 hours of community service and ordered to give up her day-care license.
