Since 2012 when I stumbled upon on a great opportunity for work for a consultant company about API, NBIC and ASME Sec I and VIII assessments. I had the chance to learn about inspection, life assessment and suitability for operation, identifying non-compliances with API standards. Hence, I got certified by API as Authorized Inspector, recently as entrepreneur I have done a couple of fitness for service assessment in equipment with degradation by corrosion and mechanical damage, according to API 579 and appendix thereof. During the same project we, fortunately, evaluate with FEM the stress distribution in the equipment caused by roundness.
