Chef Dene’s transformation as a chef began as a graduate from Georgia State University. After teaching first grade for many years, she made a life change and enrolled in Culinary Arts School. During this time, she was afforded the opportunity to study abroad in Germany in order to cultivate her culinary skills. From there Chef Dené traveled to NY to complete an internship at The Clinton Foundation’s Alliance for a Healthier Generation. These experiences fostered her love for healthy eating and food advocacy. As an Atlanta Tech graduate, she became a food security advocate for The Atlanta Community Food Bank, Chef Instructor at Dekalb County Schools and The Young Chef’s Academy. She spent ...
