This document discusses leadership strategies and practices for criminal justice organizations. It covers how organizational culture embodies a social group's identity and can be either positive or negative. A positive culture fosters coping mechanisms and unity, while a negative culture stems from lack of training and supervision. The document also discusses behavioral theory of leadership, which assumes leaders are made, not born, and that behavior can change with reinforcement. It provides examples of developing leaders through training, responsibilities, and positive feedback. Effective leadership practices include consistent application of policies, clear communication of the organization's mission, and ensuring laws are followed.
