Waves Diana Liu and Dan Froehlich
Transverse Waves displacement perpendicular to wave motion
Longitudinal Waves displacement parallel to wave motion
Parts of a wave trough crest
Constructive Interference When crests and troughs combine, amplitude increases  bigger waves (IN PHASE)
Destructive Interference When crests and troughs meet, they cancel each other out  smaller waves OUT OF PHASE
Speed of a Wave Velocity -speed at which the wave is traveling Frequency -number of times a wave passes a point per second Wavelength -Length of wave from crest to crest or trough to trough Velocity = Frequency x Wavelength
Tsunamis are caused by: 1-Earthquakes 3-LANDSLIDES 2-VOLCANOES
