I found this 'brief statement' in one of my scholarship apps. I thought it would make a decent short bio for facebook so... "Describe any special skills, abilities, hobbies, write a brief personal statement: Art has been my favorite hobby for years. I am currently working on writing and illustrating a children's book to encourage kids to play outside (I am a huge advocate of the outdoors). Another hobby that I have grown to love is hiking. In fact,one of my greatest personal accomplishments is conquering Yosemite's Half Dome. I also learned to play acoustic guitar, however, I admit drawing seems to come more naturally than music."
