I just moved to Florida for a change of pace. I worked for a year as the resident DJ in a big top 40 club where I played for crowds ranging from 750-1500 people. Before that, I mixed 80's pop and rock working with a live drummer. I've also shared several nights in bars and pubs with acoustic acts. Most of my career has been in the club scene, but I have done many private events--including weddings, charities for the Red Cross, and a few runway shows.
Clubs are fun to work in, but I hate the hours, and, well, the industry isn't the "nicest." I wanted to move out of that and into the private events arena.
