What is nursing?? Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families , and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from birth to death . Nurses work in a large variety of specialties where they work independently and as part of a team to assess to look over, plan, implement to do things over and evaluate carefully.

Salary The salary of a nurse is normally around 100K a year and up. It all depends on how long a nurse has been in practice and also it depends on how many patients they may have as well. Staff RNs working in the United States average a median base salary of $41,642. Half of all US RN's are expected to earn between $38,792 and $44,869.? Nearly 67% of nurses are employed in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings.? 32% of all nurses are employed in medical offices and clinics, home healthcare?agencies, nursing homes, temporary help agencies, academia, and government agencies.
Salary Continues. A neonatal nurse salary is affected first and foremost by the kind of nurse involved. The median Neonatal Nurse Salary by Job Title chart shows that nurse managers and nurse practitioners earn a much higher neonatal nurse salary than many other positions. A large percentage of a NICU's staff will be neonatal nurse practitioners. For a neonatal nurse, yearly salary is also tied to years of experience. Researching a Neonatal Nurse Salary by Years of Experience , we can see that for a neonatal nurse, salary increases by over $20,000 over 20 years of experience. Many smaller or more rural hospitals may not have a NICU, which may be why comparing Neonatal Nurse Salary by Number of Hospital Beds tends to show higher salaries for larger hospitals. Looking for a city with high neonatal nurse salaries? Check the median Neonatal Nurse Salary by City report to see which cities offer the highest salaries.
Hospital nurses Most professional and technical nurses work in hospitals. They work with doctors and other medical personnel in caring for patients. Nurses function in a great variety of roles in the hospital. They work as members of the surgical team in the operating room.
Retirement Plan Some nurses have a set plan of when they want to retire. Retirement is something most workers look forward to, so you would think planning for it would be a top priority. But thats generally not the case, financial experts say. Many working Americans who think they will have enough money saved for a financially secure retirement are operating under faulty assumptions.
Why we chose this topic The reason why we chose this topic was because we have always wanted to work with other people. We really want to become a nurse that helps babies and also an RN. Allie and I are so interested in learning how nurses do their jobs and how they like their jobs. This shows you how much we love to work with kids and other people, in the work area.
