Following the completion of my PhD in Manchester, I decided to utilise my experience and understanding of the doctoral process by starting Doctor John Proofreading to help students on the difficult journey of completing a thesis. Since then the business has expanded to provide a transcription service to support academics, researchers and businesses, transposing interviews, meetings and discussions into text, and also a copywriting service for businesses, with research-informed creative copy for blog posts, website content and social media articles.
