Doris Spooner Hall is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has been living in the Huntsville, Alabama area for 37 years. She is graduate of Louisiana State University receiving the Bachelor of Music Education and Masters of Music Education in Instrumental Music (Band and Orchestra). In addition, Doris received the Educational Specialist in Administration in Higher Education.
