Doug Booth is both an instructor and a performer of guitar and bass. Beginning at the age of ten, Doug has studied piano, flute, and percussion, in addition to the bass and guitar. Interested in many different styles of music, he eventually found that his ear "bent" towards the jazz guitar styles of Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, and early George Benson. By age fifteen, Doug was chosen to play with the Santa Clara Honor Jazz Band and a year later with the California All State Jazz Band. You can hear Doug Booth on a variety of recordings including the recordings of the jazz fusion group Ars Nova and Zappa guitarist Mike Keneally's internationally released CD's.
