I have a PhD in economic geography which was focused on R&D activity and have pursued a range of research themes since then with a common focus on innovation, particularly within a regional economic development framework.
My main focus throughout my career has been research and research management and I have an extremely strong record in income generation, including high quality research income from the ESRC and the EU, as well as considerable links with the policy community at regional, national and international level.
