I have dedicated my facebook page to my lifestyle as a 'homesteader.' Many years ago I read Duane Elgin's book, "Voluntary Simplicity" and it changed my life! I am committed to living my life free from clutter, drama and stress. I live as a minimalist; without central a/c; dishwasher; cable/satellite; and to date...no cell phone! It sounds very primitive, and is certainly not a lifestyle that many could ever adopt; however, it is bliss! I grow organic vegetables/fruit/berries and preserve everything by canning or freezing. My goal is to become more self reliant (off the grid-so to speak) so I have exciting plans for the future; converting my home into a more 'eco' friendly dwelling (sola
