#4: The Management ensures the facilities provided are supported by technology system and these shall be compliance to the services offered
The facility safety protocols should encompass against a check system on the building, Utility services (Electrical, Water supply, sanitation, medical gas, Air conditioners, lift services, telecommunication system etc) and the technology system includes the bio medical equipments and related services
The safety protocol should ensure regulatory compliance to address Fire and Non fire emergencies as the primary measure towards safety in care services
The safety process shall be addressed against patient care areas and non patient care areas , and accordingly the risks are identified and measured for necessary mitigations
#5: The Management enforces the facility inspection to be considered as a proactive system, to be conducted by expert/ designated team members
The focus of such inspection should be to identify potential risks for further mitigation and thus ensure safety measures in place.
The expert team shall address mitigations through defined methodologies like HIRA, (Hazard identification Risk assessment,) or HVA (Hazard Vulnerability analysis)
The inspection checklist shall be elaborative and specific to patient care areas and non patient care areas
Each observation during the facility inspection shall be addressed in the committee meetings for necessary action plan towards improvement
