Dr Mark Ledwidge is an Honourary Research Fellow within the Department Of Politics at the University of Manchester School of Social Sciences, and Senior lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University within American Studies. In addition he authored Race, African-Americans and US Foreign Policy which was published by Routledge in September 2011; and co-edited and wrote a chapter in New Directions in US Foreign Policy in the New Directions Series published by Routledge in 2009. Mark is also on the Organising Committee of the AHRC-funded Research Network on the presidency of Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the United States.
