I am Associate Professor in Environmental Geology with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. I graduated from UKM in 1994 and then received my higher education from Cardiff University in Wales, United Kingdom, completed my MSc and PhD both in Environmental Geology. My PhD is in the area of landfill engineered clay liner. I am actively involved in research. My major research interest is in landfill clay liner. My other research interests are remediation of contaminated land, radioactive waste containment using clay, contaminants-soil interactions, geotechnical centrifuge modeling, contaminant migration in soil, water quality, and acid mine drainage (mine waste).
