Ed studied at several UK universities before cruelly being exiled to 鈥済et a job and a haircut!鈥� After originally studying space physics he turned to the dark side (spacecraft engineering), then realised how poorly structured his code was and opted to learn software engineering, too. Now he works in Germany, where he helps to land robots on other worlds and predict the weather. When he鈥檚 not commanding spacecraft he鈥檚 busy explaining where the limits of our scientific knowledge lie, as the founder of London-based science publisher Things We Don鈥檛 Know (dot com). But he still hasn鈥檛 got that haircut.
