Ph.D. by Kansas State University, 1982. After graduation in Veterinary Medicine, 1972, became professor of Animal Science. Moved to Campinas to work in the Meat Technology Center (CTC/ITAL). After the time in USA, worked for a short time at Atlas Frigorifico, and was invited by FEA - Food Engineering Faculty - Unicamp, Oct. 1983, At FEA became full professor (pofessor-titular) in March 2007. Served two terms as graduate course coordinator, and one term as Head of Department.
