David Lee Cates passed away on September 26, 2014 in Channelview, Texas at the age of 33. He was born on February 9, 1981 to Larry Cates Sr. and Nancy Cates. David had a passion for nature and water activities from a young age and enjoyed sailing, scuba diving, and spending time in the woods with his young daughter Olivia. He is survived by his daughter Olivia, her mother Christa Nailor, and his brothers Larry and Jesse Cates.

In memory of our dearest loved one David Lee Cates, of
Channelview, Texas who entered eternal life on September 26, 2014. He was born
February 9, 1981 to Larry Cates Sr. and Nancy Cates. He is preceded in death by
both his Parents and Grandfather Donald MacPherson. His spirit is carried on by
his beloved Daughter Olivia Cates, her Mother Christa Nailor, Brothers Larry and
Jesse Cates, as well as his many family and friends. David was a nature lover and grew up on the water. This love for
water grew from sailing with his parents as a young child and soon turned into a passion for scuba diving that was
