The MMM3000 competition brought together over 15,000 gamers to design a helmet that would allow for hands-free eating while gaming. Various prototypes were created, ranging from remote-controlled devices to ones using compressed air. Ten finalists were selected from the submissions and one winner would go to London. When the countdown timer reached zero, army soldiers delivered the ?12,000 prize - a custom helmet that was the final product of the community's work. Participants were glad to be part of an experience that showcased the gaming community's creativity and ability to work as a team.
