Adverbs can be formed from adjectives in a few ways. Adding "-ly" to most adjectives forms the adverb, such as "nervously" from "nervous". For adjectives ending in "-l" or "-e", "-ly" is also added. But if the adjective ends in a consonant plus "le", the "e" is dropped before adding "-ly", so "regrettable" becomes "regrettably".

Adverbs
1. Adverbs
Lively, friendly, silly have no adverb form so we say
someone acted in a lively way/manner.
Add ly to the adjective (e.g nervously). This also
applies to adjectives ending in l. (e.g. (usually) or e
(extremely).
However, if the adjective ends in a consonant + le, then
omit the final e and add LY (e.g. regrettably).
Sole solely regrettable regrettably.
