PROFILE
Eli Joory is a Brazilian composer and instrumentalist. His musical background comprises both popular and classical music. His work of composition aims to preserve the Brazilian musical culture. He plays the saxophone and the flute live at two distinct fronts: the first is the Brazilian instrumental music quartet and second, the chamber music duo. His repertoire includes compositions from a reinterpretation of several important genres like the Choro, the Bossa-nova, the Baião, the Samba-jazz, the Maxixe and the Frevo, among others. Devoting special attention to melody, he creates a rich and up-to-date harmony.
