Ellisse analyzes Amy's student blog and provides feedback on different design elements. The blog uses a colorful but not very distinctive color scheme without a theme. The font is the basic Arial font without much uniqueness. Amy labels individual sections clearly and separates posts by month, demonstrating good organization and time management skills visible through her blog.
2. Amy Winchelow
Initially the first thing I wanted to
analyse about Amy’s blog was
the colour scheme she chose to
use. The blog has to be
aesthetically pleasing to engage
and examiner and viewer of the
blog. For me although colourfull it
doesn't’t really pop out. There
isn’t a sense of individuality for
example a theme in the
background to represent the
music video created or the
person behind the blog. However
the colours that were chosen
stand out and pop which I like.
The next thing I wanted to analyse is the font that Amy has chosen to use, it is clear that Amy
has stuck with the normal ‘Arial’ font which doesn't’t stick out again but for what it is used for
that does the job.
Additionally at the end of each text it would have been nice to have a bit a text underneath
every post not just a few just to get that consistency.
3. The labels on a blog are also something I look at when
analyising. There is a lot you can tell by someone’s work and
work ethic by the way their blog is labeled. As you can see Amy
has clearly labeled individual sections. This shows her
organisation and that is exceptionally helpful when going
through her blog because you aren’t scrolling for hours.
She has also separated her blog into the different months of the
year. This is also helpful for navigation around the blog but also
to observe her time keeping and how much work she is done. I
like this because you can clearly see that Amy has very good
time keeping and also how good she is with the amount of work
she has done.
