Having originally trained as a graphic designer, I moved to Paris to set about achieving my long-term goal of becoming bilingual. I spent two years working as a waitress, immersed in the language and culture. I kept a blog and used the time to assess what I was looking for from a career.
My passion for communications brought me back to the UK to complete a Masters in Advertising. Initially thinking I would be drawn to the creative side of the industry, the more I learnt about planning, the more it seemed to better suit my skill set and interests. I spent five months doing work placements alongside my studies and wrote my thesis, for which I received a distinction.
