This document provides information on a UV curable overprint varnish for paper. The starting formulation contains 62.4% epoxy acrylate, 29.4% TPGDA, and 1.8% photoinitiator. The cured varnish has a slip angle of 22 degrees, coefficient of static friction of 0.36, and MEK resistance of 16 double rubs, with gloss of 88 at 60 degrees. However, MEK resistance decreases at higher line speeds during curing.


