My primary research area is related to computational neuroscience and how information is processed in the cortical network of the brain. These models are then reduced and implemented in embodied solutions like robots, electronic devices and software programs. In this way self-organization is achieved at different scales from the microscopic level (ion-channels, neural networks) to the macroscopic scales like swarm systems.
