While working toward my master鈥檚 degree, I gained pastoral experience through parish internship placements. As pastoral associate intern, I assisted with catechetical instruction and was responsible for a Bible study series on the Gospel of Mark.
A relevant aspect to pastoral and theological formation was the potential for developing catechetical teaching skills, which I sufficiently acquired by assisting Catholic elementary school teachers. I also developed my public presentation skills by delivering weekly gospel reflections, both in English and Spanish, and by being involved over the years in a number of volunteer activities with children, youth and elderly people.
