My husband Jim and I are waiting to adopt our second child through domestic open adoption. In an independent, open adoption, birthparents choose the parents for their child. The adoptive parents and the birth parents then make an agreement for openness. These days many people are matched through word of mouth. We are agency approved and support services are available for birth parents through Adoption Minnesota. Please keep us in mind if you hear of someone hoping to make an adoption plan for their baby.
