Born in Palermo on January 15, 1943, Giovanni Mascellaro is an Italian artist (singer, musician, poet and painter). Aged only 16 he won an important musical contest at Mondello (Palermo) named the "Capannina d'oro" as a song sing writer, thus starting his career. He graduated with honors from the University of Palermo, Faculty of Economics,and he has worked for over thirty years as a bank officer. Barely aged 44, he achieved in 1987 the position of deputy general manager of an important bank in Sicily.
