About
After school and college education in Jharsuguda, Orissa, I got M. Sc. from University of Hyderabad and Ph. D. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. I worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Scripps (La Jolla) before joining Vertex Pharmaceuticals. After 22 years at Vertex, I joined Biogen and head Computational Chemistry group. I am a co-inventor of HIV protease inhibitor, Amprenavir and Hepatitis C drug, Telaprevir, and contributed to the discovery of several clinical candidates. Named inventor on 26 US patents and author/co-author of 74 publications.
