About
I am an entomologist that specializes in ants, non-pesticidal control of harmful insects, and morphology. I'm fascinated by the ultra structure of organisms and have spent hours working on a scanning electron microscope because of it. I have about 50 professional publications including two books. I've won a few awards for my microscopy and have had my images published in many popular magazines as well as a few textbooks.
I pay the bills by working as a professor of biology at a midsized state liberal arts university in PA.
When we have time, my wife and I love to travel and camp. I've been to all 50 states and around the world twice by ship in the Semester at Sea program.
