I began my professional career at Erickson Retirement Communities (then Senior Campus Living) where I was eventually the controller. I lead a large department that was diverse and talented. I learned how valuable leadership is.
Erickson was a young business at the time and I had a tremendous opportunity to be an entrepreneur within a large organization. I loved every minute of innovating, establishing systems and moving things forward.
I also learned that in a larger corporate environment it can be very difficult to change and grow at a pace needed in today's world.
